seal playing with our dog mischa - february 2013
In February 2013 we spotted a seal in the River Thames near Greenwich. To our amazement and surprise, she decided to come out of the water to interact with Mischa. Perhaps Mischa resembles a seal? We did find out that the seal was called "Judo" and came from a rehabilitation centre in Norfolk for orphan seals. We were able to identify her through her tag. By June 2013, Judo had returned to the sea, and we haven't seen her since. Enjoy this rare encounter.
See below for footage of the controlled explosion when Scotland Yard bomb disposal squad detonated the World War II grenade that I stumbled upon when I was mudlarking on 14th June 2015.
