![]() I've just had an extremely enjoyable long weekend off work, during which time, my boyfriend David and I have been mudlarking on the Thames foreshore at low tide, searching for treasures from the past, as well as pieces of old glass and pottery, and clay pipe stems to add to the piles in the studio at home. We had a pretty good day, with, amongst other finds, a very old medieval lead trading token, a Georgian shilling, and some old cartridges. Then back home to start working on a new collection of sea glass fish (or thames bottlefish as I like to call them - see one below). These fish are great fun to make as you never quite know how they are going to turn out. The glass used is often over 100 years old, and has worn down nicely in the tides of the Thames. So, whilst I was working on my fish, David has been fine tuning my website and so hence my first blog - which I will endeavour to update regularly!

I've just looked at your website and am amazed, as always, at the beautiful things you create from broken bits and pieces thrown up by the tide. Love the fish especially! Mum xxx
